Councilwoman Marci Fluellyn

Lovejoy City Council:

Marci Fluellyn began her term on August 14, 2007, filling a vacant seat on the city council representing Post 1. Served as Mayor Pro Tem 2012-2013, 2016-2017 and 2020-2021. Marci was instrumental in bringing our annual Fall Festival to Lovejoy as well as a Youth Mentoring program to prepare our youth for independence and becoming change agents in the community. Marci has been a guest speaker at local churches and club meetings providing inspiration and encouragement. She rarely meets a stranger and is very committed to our city.

Professional History:

Marci began her professional career in the purchasing field with a specialty in strategic planning. Her strongest contributions are in global optimization projects to improve cash flow and customer service deliverables. She retired in Aug 2020 as the Director of Global Procurement for a global OEM manufacturer in Fairburn, Georgia after 20+ years in supply chain. Marci is a single mother with three adult children and two granddaughters.

Educational History:

Marci graduated from Lamar County Comprehensive High School and American InterContinental University (AIU), where she earned an Associate’s degree with honors in Business Management.
